So I guess I'm not the only one reading the story this way -- either that or Fox is monitoring our list discussion.
The salient point is that Windows 7 is supposed to be the next desktop OS. That's my point. They are pretty much admitting that Vista is a failure. Let me know if you see it differently. Why would you build out an undeployed technology when you have a deployed technolology unless the deployed technology is crap. I have to seriously consider what these individuals are thinking about when it comes to strategic planning. I do know that my company isn't likely going to Vista because the hardware requirements are too high and there's no payoff in filesystem management or reliability. It just doesn't make business sense. There is no way that as a manager I am going to trade off a proven technology that I depend on for my bottom line and that I pay trained people to support for some crazy hack. That is a fact.
