You are so wrong. First, it was Microsoft and not Gates who
purchased the stock, it was not anything near 49% of Apple's
stock, and they sold that several years ago to considerable
profit. I don't think that there was ever a point where they
had anything near the amount of Apple stock Jobs had.
It is true that the stock purchase did prop Apple up
somewhat, but it was in partial settlement of Apple's patent
lawsuit against Windows, in which MS stood some chance
of losing quite a bit more than they conceded to Apple.

What a laugh. How quickly they forget!
Bill Gates DID bail out/buy Apple in the 90's. Correct me if I'm
wrong, but
doesn't he still own like 49% of the stock - more than anyone else?
Like vultures picking at a dead horse, I guess you intend to rant
about Bill
Gates forever? It's almost worse than Rush Limbaugh ranting about
the long
gone Bill Clinton.

Maybe now that he is no longer on their payroll he'll do the smart

and buy a Mac. Stranger things have happened.
