Okay. He doesn't completely agree with me. He knows Windows sucks, but mistakenly thinks he can apply band aids to make it better. I guess he either did not read or did not understand Demming. Demming teaches that quality is not something you lard on afterwards, you have to build it in from the start. A great example is Apple's OS X. OS X sucks because it is based on BSD Unix, which sucks. After eight years of trying to paper over the problems OS X still sucks. OS 9, while now outdated, was much better because they got the critical user interface things right the first time. This weekend I got my wife to upgrade from 9 to X and having to explain the OS X UI absurdities was maddening. iPod was so great because Apple got the UI right from the beginning. iPhone I don't know.
