I would bet that the null had something to do with the migration of
those particular programs...
OS X runs some maintenance programs occasionally and that might account
for the later change...

By the way, I think Sunbird has a more useful format than iCal and is
easier to use than iCal. It's another Mozilla offering and is still
only on version .8.
