Wifi kind of narrows it down a little with Verizon.
The newer Samsung (I think SCH-i830) is a wifi phone.
However Verizon locks many features and you cannot use it as a skype
type phone on WIfi.
I had good luck with my Samsung 730 but found it bulky. I am now on
a Motorola Q9C. Smartphone not PPC. The Samsung is a PPC.
Daughter has a newer Choclate but those are now defunct. Son-in-law
got LG Venus, and they like them.

I struggle to u nderstand what people are saying on it and it has
nothing to do with the volume. I can turn it up or down and the
voices are still mushy or garbled and I"m constantly asking people to
repeat themselves.
I really want an iPhone but there are still just too many problems
with it so I am waiting. I'd like WiFi and some basic PDA functions
(calendarw/alarm,addressbook,notes). Don't care too much about the
camera because I"m picky about photos and as Tom mentioned, no matter
how many MPs they have, their lenses are crap and the photos reflect
that. I just carry a small pocket camera all the time. If my Palm
LifeDrive had a clear sounding phone in it, it would be perfect!
