At no point did they take time to explain or promote what Verizon had to offer other than the free installation. Next time I'll be sure to take names and numbers.
If they're the real deal rather than say, college students hired by a contractor, they'll have company ID. That's another rule, no company business without company issued ID.
The real deal is a regular sized ID card, the background color is black at the top for a line employee and orange at the bottom half. The photo is half passport-sized, centered left. On the bottom right will be the employee's first name or nickname in bold type and below that will be the employee's legal name. Under that will be the employee pass number, in the form nnnn-nnnn-n. Management employees will have the Verizon logo repeated several times on the photo background, associate (union) employees will have a plain white backgound on the photo. Contractor IDs will be identical except that the top of the badge background color is I believe white rather than black. I'll have to verify this as we have no contractors where I work, but the intent is that we can id organizational status without interrogation. It is a requirement that ID be openly displayed at all times on company property or when conducting company business.
