Yes, but they claim non-Tivo certified drives will not work as well. That could be bull, but the drive manufacturer also says that this drive should not be used for regular data applications. So, while vague, this does imply that this drive has some unique features. I did not bother to research the issue after I found the drive widely available at prices lower than Tivo's direct price.
