> That the Zune "squirts" and the iPod does not counts for
> almost nothing.

Irrelevant. I already said that squirting was "SO last week".

> Adding WiFi is playing catch up

With what? iPod Classic has wi-fi? Or are you trying to compare Zune to
Touch again?

> Buying music while driving should be criminal.

What?? What on earth does that have to do with anything? You can only use
wi-fi while driving? Who said anything about driving? The two places I
mentioned were "McDonald's" and the "family room couch." To the best of my
knowledge, these are safe places to buy music.

> Using iTunes on a desktop computer is a much better way to buy music

Stated as fact, without justification.

> The radio feature does nothing for people who are really
> into music as broadcast playlists are crap.

In your opinion. Maybe there are people who think different.

> Music subscription plans are for dummies who don't know
> where to find music online. Etc. etc.

Not even worth a response.

> A list of features does not make for a compelling product

That's right, it doesn't. However, you've already referred to iPod as
"superb", and since Zune does everything that iPod classic does, is iPod's
equal in any fair-minded usability test, and adds wi-fi, MixView, and Now
Playing, it must be megasuperb. Yet in your mind it's somehow still
inferior.

You haven't been paying attention. The original Zune wasn't very exciting,
but what's out there now is not the original Zune. Impartial reviews from
BEFORE this week's software update were already saying things like "trumps
iPod Classic" and "Apple is no longer the leader in the realm of hard
drive-based players", and that was WITHOUT the enhanced wi-fi, MixView, or
Now Playing that the software update delivered.

Your hatred of Microsoft colors everything you say and renders you incapable
of rational comparison or discussion. It is simply beyond your capacities to
admit that MS might finally have improved on anything Apple did.
