HDCP introduces another layer of complexity onto something
that is already complex. As long as everything works, that's
terrific, when something breaks - how do you fix it? Is it
the video card, the driver, something in the HDCP chain?
Everything is encrypted from the drive through the computer
to the display. At least with Apple, if I have a problem,
I can make it their problem (well, hopefully).
