>> Using iTunes on a desktop computer is a much better way to buy music
>
>Stated as fact, without justification.

If you would rather conduct your business on a tiny screen instead of a
big screen you are just nuts and there is no point in further discussion.

If you want to download your purchases directly into a fragile and
loseable device then you haven't been following any of the discussions
about backups. Or does your Zune come with RAID? Apple's direct download
of software into the iPhone is one of the iPhone's least attractive
features.

>> The radio feature does nothing for people who are really

>In your opinion. Maybe there are people who think different.

Probably Wild and Furry Beasts who think Top 40 is great.

>> Music subscription plans are for dummies who don't know

>Not even worth a response.

There are noobs everywhere. Some people like being noobs. Can't help that.

>Impartial reviews from BEFORE this week's software update were already saying
>things like "trumps iPod Classic"

Read carefully: the 2008 model "trumps" the 2001 model from that other
company. Say it a different way "seven years behind the current state of
the art." Wow, that is quite a show of support from those reviewers.

Reviewers are always nervous about being too negative because it brings
out the fan bois and they get tired of all that hate mail. They are
doubly nervous about saying anything negative about a company that will
settle the score later. A bad review will lose them access to MS's PR
flacks and cut off review units. So the reviewer says is sotto voice

>Your hatred of Microsoft colors everything

I do not have any special hatred of MS. I hate bozos of all types and
they are just very often part of that group. That group includes Cox and
Comcast. It also includes Apple at times, like when the screw up the
Finder -- I did make lots of people mad by calling OS X "not ready for
prime time." I told people here to Google on "FTFF" for that Apple screw
up.
