I' told the hard drive on new MacBooks is easy to get to and swap out. (It was 
not easy on older iBooks, but when I said that here a few months ago I was 
shown to be wrong.) Why not ask the "genius" to show you? 

Get a new drive from Newegg for not a lot of money.
