What Tom is trying to say in his usual fashion is you get what you
pay for in this case.
Cutting the corners on setting up a long distance networking
situation guarantees you connection problems. drop outs etc. etc.
The best routers out there are the gaming routers and they all run
above $150.00 retail. That is just the start. Then getting into
antennas again will set you back money.
I know I know I have seen the home spun stuff that "works" but for
how long and what type of maintenance needed?
Pay the money up front and it will be less likely to fail and more
likely to work like they want.
