MY bishop uses a netbook. Does not carry a smartphone would rather have a netbook. Keyboard is fie for him (he is a big guy and travels a lot.

Iphone/smartphones are not made for full office use. Keyboard is too small and try doing spreadsheets, email, word processing on one of them.

If you are just doing Email Face book etc. it might be fine.

All depends on your use.

\I would not want a 17" notebook, too big for me.

A netbook? maybe. I presently use my laptop at home and office and when I travel. It has almost replaced (but not yet) my desktop.

So a netbook might not be the best idea yet.

Also note I do carry a smartphone but do not have a data plan.

I get the feeling the netbook...the real kind (10 inch etc), has missed it's
time already. With smart phones like iphone and the new my touch from
tmobile and htc hero, I think these devices will take the place where
netbooks might have been a few years ago. Why have 3 devices? A home
system, a netbook and a smartphone? Personally I could forego the
netbook..I'm hoping the HTC hero will come to verizon or AT$T by November.
