Don't know what it's worth, but 7 is being picked up at a rate of over 200%
greater than Vista in the same time period.  I've been running 7 since
before the official beta and have not had one issue on three other newer
versions.  I think it's a given that most people running 7 are from new
installs, I really can't imagine normal people upgrading...but who knows.  A
friend who does network support etc, didn't put win 7 on till it was
officially released, he didn't want to attempt the beta.  He was running
vista, and did a clean install.  As did I...every time.

Everyone I know who is running it is a hobbyist or in the industry in some
way, none of them have had negative experiences with it of the dozen or so I
know personally.  This doesn't mean it's been perfect, just that there has
been no cry of I can't take it, I'm going back to xp.

At this point I wouldn't want to go back to XP, win 7 has been rock solid
for me, everything runs and works just great.
