Read, from PC Magazine: " When PCMag's editor-in-chief Lance Ulanoff put together a list of dream features for the forthcoming Apple iPad tablet earlier in the week, a stylus ranked pretty high. But Lance's dream was just that--Steve Jobs, after all, has long been anti-stylus, as evidenced by the iPhone. Upon its release, Jobs told a crowd, "Who wants a stylus. You have to get 'em and put 'em away, and you lose 'em. Yuck. Nobody wants a stylus. So let's not use a stylus." "The guy said "yuck." Evidence doesn't come much stronger than that." See, on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNhpBlINkUo The Youtube video is edited and goes overboard, but it does capture Jobs flailing his arms about, whipping up the crowd at the iPhone launch, and setting the table for his view of a world without pointing or drawing or writing instruments, other than the finger, for use with computers. And, yes, he says that Apple will not support or supply styli because they can get lost.
