The patch submitted in Github works, just a little typo (sieve instead of
Sieve) when you retrieve the db property.
What I have tested
with procmail
created a rule in procmail a subjet match toto -> toto folder
all email which doesn't match the rule goes to the maildir
Created a rule in sieve to put tata to the folder tata
if doesn't match toto procmail rule -> maildir
If match tata sieve rule -> tata folder
If match toto procmail rule -> toto folder
If I enabled bypass, just the sieve rule are workable
with maildrop
created a rule in maildrop a subjet match toto -> toto folder
all email which doesn't match the rule goes to the maildir
Created a rule in sieve to put tata to the folder tata
if doesn't match toto maildrop rule -> maildir
If match tata sieve rule -> tata folder

That's look good for me, I have just one question, In fact we don't disable
procmail or maildrop, we just send to dovecot-lda if the email hasn't been
piped before, so it could be nice maybe to have either a general option to
enable dovecot-lda if sieve is enabled or we could continue to enable for each
user.
The easy solution is of course to enable for each user, maybe the sysadmyn
doesn't want his users can sort their emails, or he wants to intercept some
emails :)
Thoughts ?
Off topic : Mats you have two maillling list which could be interesting for you
(in fact all are interesting) bugteam & contribteam, whith this way you will
