--- Comment #3 from Brian Read <[email protected]> ---
Just got back to this, re-built 9.1 local backup server, fully updated, setup
Affa as per Wiki. Same thing happens again, on first connection after reboot of
remote server (also 9.1 up to date), the Affa job fails as per my original
posting.
In the interim I've done another of these, which worked fine (but not to this
remote Server).
So, I re-booted and tried an rsync
I got ths on the local machine:
rsync --dry-run -v -e "ssh -p nnnn" [email protected]:/root/
./remotecopy/
skipping directory .
sent 8 bytes received 30 bytes 25.33 bytes/sec
total size is 0 speedup is 0.00 (DRY RUN)
Seems to be ok, however ssh is now blocked on the remote.
Repeating the rsync gives this on the local server:
rsync --dry-run -v -e "ssh -p nnnn" [email protected]:/root/
./remotecopy/
ssh: connect to host goldendome.dyndns.org port 1234: Connection timed out
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [Receiver]
rsync error: unexplained error (code 255) at io.c(226) [Receiver=3.1.1]
