--- Comment #4 from Marco Hess <[email protected]> ---
I had a recent issue similar to this with Affa working correctly on an SME8
server but refused to connect consistently with an SME9 server.
I found that SME9 had quietly set a SSH feature called AutoBlock to be enabled
by default.
This feature blocks the SSH port when there are more than 3 SSH logins within
15 minutes or so.
As part of the backup job setup, Affa repeatedly uses SSH logins. So through
this AutoBlock, Affa gets partly through the job setup and then suddenly is
unable to connect and fails.
>From https://wiki.contribs.org/AutoBlock I used the instructions to disable the
disable the AutoBlock feature and my Affa backup from my SME9 server is working
again.
db configuration setprop sshd AutoBlock disabled
signal-event remoteaccess-update
I placed a warning note about this problem in https://wiki.contribs.org/Affa
