This sounds very much like what happened.

All the data copied, but some of the config files did not.

That's a major (and non obvious) issue if you are trying to restore a server.

Note on the wiki:

"Full restore

To run a full restore of user and configuration data, run on the Affa server

affa --full-restore <JOB> [<ARCHIVE>]"

No mention that newer files will not get overwritten. My guess is that this
would potentially fail on ANY restore to a newly installed server ??

Ironic as I have used rise lots of times, but never restore.

Needs investigation and clearer options, especially in light of people looking
to upgrade from v8 to v9
