Adding only these lines to the end of /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf is enough:

+ sieve_global_extensions = +vnd.dovecot.pipe +vnd.dovecot.environment

Can't seem to correctly template it in
/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf/92imapsieve
