I'm not going to unconditionally say yes as I haven't personally done an
install on your particular machine model. I'm pretty sure other folks
have installed with DVD drives, and the drive reads the data initially,
enough to get you pretty far into the install.
I think I suggested before a couple of other options, depending on what
you have available (or maybe this was another thread).
1) Create an ext2 partition on the hard drive using the rescue mode and
copy the files to it, then do a hard-drive install.
2) If you have another machine than can host the files and serve then up
via ftp, http, or NFS, do a network install. I've personally done dozens
of network installs here via ftp, and since I upgraded my network to
100Mb, it goes quite quickly.
If you opt to try one of these methods and need more guidance, let me
know. In either of the above cases, I'd just worry about CD1, and if you
want something from CD2, update it later, when you are up and running.
