Hi everyone, For some reason, I'm having a problem getting into the installer on an iMac (Early 2001-400 mhz, 192 mb ram, standard config).
I get to the boot prompt, however, after feeding it "install-atyfb" it quickly responds with "Please wait, loading kernel...Read failed". I've also tried "install-text", "install-novideo", and "install-aty128fb", "install video video=atyfb:vmode:17", and all of the others without specifying the kernel to use, which gave me the same results. I then tried using the other kernel by adding the "-2.2" at the end of the command, and that got me further, however, not much further. Shortly after making it to the second screen with the Welcome picture all would cease with: "Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 01:03", "Rebooting in 180 seconds..." At http://www.geocities.com/kerbz1/mandrake/, I have put a similar description as I've included here, and also included two photos of the screen that may be helpful. Any advice is appreciated.
