I would be more than happy to contribute .rpm's, but I didn't know that you could actually do that for Mandrake ( I'm a LinuxPPC convert and there was too much confusion around the way LinuxPPC was put together, I just try to get my favorite software to compile for my PPC's and never actually published code anywhere -- or patches, or nothing). I didn't mean to address the hardware/time you have for getting the packages to compile for the PPC distro. I was referring to the cooker-ppc tree in general. I thought about that since I try to compile the kernel myself and (of course it never did compile) I thought maybe the ohci stuff was just compiled-in instead of being a module... I just decided to turn all references to start any USB insmod from my init scripts. Anyway, my ibook keeps having spontaneus kernel panics and I really don't know what's wrong ( I checked thru the logs and didn't see anything suspicious ). What's funny is that sometimes it doesn't 'panic' and I leave it on for days. Only when I do a lot of mount'ing ( NFS, HFS etc... drives) and umount'ing and let a drive mount'ed it happens, so I guess whatever is cleaning my kernel drivers after X period of inactivity is causing the kernel to go bizarre. I rule out overheating since my ibook is very cold and it doesn't happen at a given interval of time...
