I need directions from when i hit restart. I have no idea when or where to do particular things. I'm really lost with this CLI. It's not M$ DOS and I'm getting a bit frustrated here. I can't believe that ther is no way to break out of this hang with out rebooting. I feel like every time i reboot I'm being destructive to the disk and i wonder if i have not permanently hosed it.
If i try to type when it freezes at: Checking Internet Connections to start at boot - nothing happens.
I managed to get into some sort of a network set up before and tried tp poke around in PPP SLIP but I can't recognize what is wrong - if this is even the place to poke at. I'm too green.
I also tried your command at the boot up but it didn't like it. It was unable to use it. So i also tried interactive and it still hung on me. I must have missed the opportunity to change what needs to be changed.
I'm going home now. I'll try again in the morning. Early day tomorrow.
Am I going to have to reinstall everything from scratch again? The CD takes 2 hours to load. :(

There's a bug that unfortunately makes it hang. Disabling the internet startup script will not make your dialup or network connections not work. It just means it won't start the dialup at startup.
