Odd.  Did Apple change the usb controller?  usb-ohci should be built in.
I'm running that kernel here and using my Logitech wheel mouse (usb) and
trackpad (adb).

hmm, i don't think so; the mouse worked with the old 2.4.18-kernel. and the kcontrolcenter is able to 'see' the usb-controler and the mouse, but it simply? does not work. is the built-in mousepad also controlled by the usb-controller?
if not, the problem on another layer...
