I'm pretty new at Linux and this may have been asked before,
but hey, I just subscribed to the list today...

I d/l the oxygen ISO file and burned it onto a CD. So far,
so good. I used the image file to install from the CD.

Ok, I used the diskette and it loaded cdrom.rdz and vmlinuz.
The CD-ROM initialized and proceeded until a line saying
"the second stage install". The cd-rom then stopped for a
bit (a couple of minutes (I think some visible indicator
should be seen here, so the user doesn't think the machine
is frozen)). The cd-rom restarted then for about two
seconds, then the screen went blank with a blinking block
cursor in the upper left corner. The install basically ended
there, as nothing happened after several minutes.

This is a really old machine i'm trying to install it on. It
is a P90 with only 24Mb of RAM. It does have a brand new 27G
7200 rpm Maxtor hard drive.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

TIA
