am not too concerned about the scsi problem.

no problems with installing from cdrom.  just need to specify my scsi adaptect
152x and choose options and it finds it and works.

when using the hd.img tho' it's another story.

no, as far as i know it's not bootable, but maybe if i disable an onboard ide. 
but again, all i'm really worried about is try to install from my hdd using
hd.img.
