I have the same motherboard and had the a failure in the same stage of the
install. I had to swap out my CDROM with another. The problem, I think was
in the communication btwn my CDROM and the motherboard. I kepot getting a
disconnect error from the CDROM in the middle of the second stage installer.
I could see this in the console screen (alt-ctrl-3?) one of the console
screens listed it.
