------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-13 23:30 ------- I recently started creating my own bootsplash themes and found that, for some reason the code that loads the graphic is looking for a signature that is put in the file when it is saved in the Gimp. I've had some luck with opening and saving the image in gimp and then using Drakboot to recreate the initrd images. I have yet to have luck using just mkinitrd to get the bootsplashes to work.... Scott ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: This is a 9.0 issue that has survived to today's cooker. I have 3 systems on which I install cookers. Under 9.0, two of them had graphical bootup and the other one booted in character mode even though I specified graphical, giving a console message "Looking for splash picture - no good signature found". Now under 9.1, one of the systems that booted graphically under 9.0 gets this error as well. It's getting worse.... What controls this ? Is it an install bug, or is there some non-intuitive way for the user to control/correct this ?
