------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-24 23:47 ------- Since it doesn't look like this is getting fixed for 9.1, could someone please comment on how this works ? I'm having no luck trying to find the code that issues the "no good signature" message. At the very least, I'd like to add some diagnostics so that I can find out what it's complaining about. So far, I have one desktop system that wouldn't use bootsplash under 9.0 and won't use it under 9.1, one laptop that used bootsplash under 9.0 but won't use it under 9.1, and a second desktop which originally used it under 9.0 but stopped a while ago (no idea why) and which uses it OK under 9.1. The bootsplash README is no help. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: This is a 9.0 issue that has survived to today's cooker. I have 3 systems on which I install cookers. Under 9.0, two of them had graphical bootup and the other one booted in character mode even though I specified graphical, giving a console message "Looking for splash picture - no good signature found". Now under 9.1, one of the systems that booted graphically under 9.0 gets this error as well. It's getting worse.... What controls this ? Is it an install bug, or is there some non-intuitive way for the user to control/correct this ?
