------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-29-08 23:54 ------- This is still valid in today's cooker. In fact, in many cases, vga=788 (which seems to be the only setting for which bootsplashes exist) doesn't seem to be set anywhere in lilo.conf. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: This is a 9.0 issue that has survived to today's cooker. I have 3 systems on which I install cookers. Under 9.0, two of them had graphical bootup and the other one booted in character mode even though I specified graphical, giving a console message "Looking for splash picture - no good signature found". Now under 9.1, one of the systems that booted graphically under 9.0 gets this error as well. It's getting worse.... What controls this ? Is it an install bug, or is there some non-intuitive way for the user to control/correct this ?
