Ok, so my card is detected upon install as a Permedia 2 AGP (and I have a
VGA install screen all the way, which is bad), and when I change it to
elsa gloria synergy, "test configuration" just tells me "an error
occured", and on one of the consoles I have a X11TransSocket... cannot
connect error.
I say quit, don't forget the changes, don't boot in graphic mode.
After boot, ldconfig, vi /etc/inittab to go to level 5, shutdown -r now,
and it works.
(This with XFree 3.3.6, I didn't try again with 4.0)
