------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-05-08 01:18 ------- You do not provide a very clear bug report. Bug 2741 occurs on intel 810 and 830 cards. So this bug could be related. If it is, it should be fixed in cooker. Are you still experiencing this bug on the 9.2 beta? if so: are you using DRI? does it also crash if you press ctrl-alt-F1 to get to a virtual terminal? Or does it crash when you switch back with ctrl-alt-f7? bug should probably be reassigned to X. d. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Well, it seems that unfortunately there are cross-versions bugs. As in Mandrake 9.1, in an HP Omnibook XE3 with a Intel 830M video card, X crashes the machine when logging out to terminal. It is a documented bug ( http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2741 ), it is reported several times in the web and newsgroups (example: http://groups.google.pt/groups?q=Mandrake+omnibook+xe3+9.1&hl=pt-PT&lr=&ie=UTF- 8&oe=UTF-8&selm=32ee77b6.0303280308.6fc5cb44%40posting.google.com&rnum=4 ) but no one seems to care. When of 9.1, i even spent 17 euros in a paid incident for nothing. No one solved this mistery. So, in Mandrake 9.2 it seems that me and all the folks owning this video card will have to stick with this bug, right ? Please, don't make me retun to SuSE where there is no such problem. Warm Regards, Mrio Gamito
