------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-06-08 17:43 ------- Hi, Commenting those two lines didn't solved the problem :( I sent you an attachment with the output of lsmod before startig X and another one with all my modules file. By the way, i have at work a DELL Optiflex GX260 which has an Intel 845 incorporated in the main board and there i have no bug. "You need the glx module for NVidia, just comment the dri line" I don't understand. My video card is an Intel 830M Regards, Mrio Gamito -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Well, it seems that unfortunately there are cross-versions bugs. As in Mandrake 9.1, in an HP Omnibook XE3 with a Intel 830M video card, X crashes the machine when logging out to terminal. It is a documented bug ( http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2741 ), it is reported several times in the web and newsgroups (example: http://groups.google.pt/groups?q=Mandrake+omnibook+xe3+9.1&hl=pt-PT&lr=&ie=UTF- 8&oe=UTF-8&selm=32ee77b6.0303280308.6fc5cb44%40posting.google.com&rnum=4 ) but no one seems to care. When of 9.1, i even spent 17 euros in a paid incident for nothing. No one solved this mistery. So, in Mandrake 9.2 it seems that me and all the folks owning this video card will have to stick with this bug, right ? Please, don't make me retun to SuSE where there is no such problem. Warm Regards, Mrio Gamito
