You may come on http://fast800.tuxfamily.org/forums/ to discuss more thoroughly
your problem and provide Mandrake with error logs for further analysis (even
though we may need help with 8139too to identify changes from 9.1 to 9.2rc2).

I copy Damien Chaumette as adiusbadsl may be involved.
Giving the content of /var/log/messages showing errors just before unplug/plug
would help.

description:
I've a freebox (ADSL modem used in France by Freetelecom) connected to my
computer over ethernet (8139too). 5 to 10 minutes (generally) after the
connection (by dhcp), the modem freezes completely. The only way to make
internet work again is to unplug/replug its power supply (i do nothing on the
computer in itself). This problem didn't happen with Mdk 9.1 (i currently have
9.2 RC2). The weird thing is that i tried with another distribution (Debian
Sid), with a hand-made kernel (2.4.22 marcelo kernel) and it worked. I compiled
the same kernel under Mdk 9.2 RC2 with the same .config and it doesn't work.
Same problem. It makes the modem freeze. I don't know what to think/what to do.
Though it is a big problem as i heavily use ssh when i am away (and i have no
way to restart the modem in this case). Thank you very much for solving this
problem before 9.2 comes out.
