Can you explain what this entry does? If it just sets default charset for KDE
system-wide - you miss my point. Remember German texts in my mail? They have
exactly the same problem when charset is set to KOI8-R.
Besides, KDE is using UTF-8 for any labels. What has it to do with actual
charset of current locale? UTF-8 is one and for all, is not it? And there is
/usr/share/applnk.kde directory that contains correct UTF-8 labels for *all*
locales. What this directory does? I assumed, it serves as repository of all
available translations.
