Curiouser and curiouser... I TOO had this problem last week, and multiple
updates from the cooker mirror over the course of days didn't fix it.
I loaded STOCK 8.0 yesterday - from cd's, and did updates from the
web site with all the updates - and it works. I have NO idea why, or what
the differences are. A clean install should work.
