I have the same problem. At first it looked like it
affected Gnome, then mysteriously...after a period of
time, gnome started working again. I could even get
konqueror from within gnome again.... but the fonts
are unpredictable now and I can set preferences within
konqueror with some working and others not.
For instance, I seem to no longer be able to get my
link underline to hover... it appears stuck in
underline mode... and it seems to be bringing up that
ugly courrior font again no matter how often I change
to a better looking font.
This is all within Gnome since I cannot get into kde
at this point.
