First, I have learnt to say to myself, I am not an expert on this! -> The
experts about how this is felt are probably students in schools that use
Linux.

Second, most tutorials for Linux that I have read have given me the
impression, that the objective have been two fold:
1 To learn them how Linux is functioning.
2 To give all ways (forking) that it is possible to do this fine step.

Instead assume the dude wants to upgrade a rpm kernel, then he either uses
grub or lilo.
1 -> grub, don't ever mention the fine word lilo if possible.
2 -> lilo, don't ever mention the fine word grub if possible.
3 -> Give an overview of how the 'bootloader' steps through its path.

This is 'tunnel pedagogics', i.e. the user wants one thing done - basta! ->
Show nothing more than those steps -> do it, and get satisfaction. Then you
can read about how to make babies.
