Do you mean, you use either DVD or CD-RW in the same drive bay or you
use both of them at the same time?

I was under impression installer does and always did it for CD-RW?
Pixel, has it changed? In any case, ide-scsi is pretty well known and
mentioned in every HOWTO.

No it can't. At least, not until ide-cd is built into kernel. It just
takes over unless you say you do not want it.

It is (should be) loaded on access to /dev/sg* If it does not happen it
means

- devfsd bug. Any more info?
- local configuration error - you created /dev/sg* manually and that
turned off autoloading.

Yes, I know, it is _really_ confusing for newbie - they are told by
every HOWTO to look for /dev/sg0 and it does not exist. Any taker to
update HOWTOs?
