This I agree with. One of the reasons for using linux is so that hardware 
does not need to be obsoleted but this is the price we pay for using 
mandrake. No matter how we look at it mandrake is more or less a drop in 
replacement for windows nt/2000/xp server. At least 2000/and xp which offer 
simmilar features are really horible about supporting older hardware. As far 
as this goes mandrake has much better hardware support. With but a few 
acceptions. 

Yes those xfree guys should do a better job.
