I wanted to express my voice (a part of public demand) for a new version, a voice from a user, that uses Mandrake exclusively on his box, the same user, who you ask to support by means of Mandrake club, or other means. This is far from elementary school (I consider myself far more experienced and much older than that, thank you!), and consider this: - Mozilla will be used by everyone, all users, be those power users or beginners , especially that NS4.x is out of distro - considering the sheer amounts of bugs fixed, I would expect the Mozilla 0.9.9 to actually generate *LESS* support calls - you can always disable the new "risky" features in the new milestone build like MathML (which may or may not be mature enough) - as I said, investing a day or two before Mandrake 8.2 goes gold, and seeing if the new Mozilla works or not, and *THEN* deciding whether to keep 0.9.8 or let 0.9.9 in would be much better approach. Do others who do not download cooker will have to wait for 9.0 for a (more) stable Mozilla? That said, I understand what feature freeze is, and will just use the cooker version once it comes out, as the current 0.9.8 which will come with 8.2 crashes too often or misbehaves on certain sites, and some of the UI (adressbook for instance) is shaky at best in 0.9.8. I just feel sorry for novice users, who are not able to sync with cooker, being stuck with unnecessarily old version. Now that I actually calmed down from your insults, I see a compromise though : you could include in release notes, that official update to Mozilla 0.9.9 will follow soon, and actually make the official update (not cooker) later. At least a promise :-) My another 0.02 Eurocents, Michal
