4. My /etc/fstab has just been quietly overwritten during an expert update packages, no package selection install by one from another partition, not even mounted! This is a nonsense, since the root partition designation will be incorrect. This problem has persisted consistently in all releases since I started with Mandrake 5.2. Imagine my total _horror_ to find it STILL there in 8.2. SHOW STOPPER!
