1)9.0 tree should be seen as static, mirrors may no longer have rsync
running on it.
2)9.0/contrib is in the standard (stable) tree, while unsupported in in
the Mandrake-devel tree, so as Ben pointed out, although contrib updates
may not be mirrored everywhere, they wouldn't threaten standard updates
from being mirrored.
3)It might give the impression that they are supported ('unsupported' is
much more explicit than 'contrib').
