As stated in the announcement, the current cash problem of MandrakeSoft is because a investor have delayed a big amount of money, and the problem is, they need money _now_ to pay their bills. In long sight the cash flow of mandrake is very positive in the way it is right now. So all these useless comments on how to let mandrake make more money are not in the right place. These things don't kick in NOW. And I believe the way mandrake will go is the right one. There is no need for let only people download , who allready know mandrake. I believe if someone installs mandrake he will become hopelessly addicted and become a paying member, or in case he dislike mandrake, he feels better without paying something and knows there is a open, uptodate distro he maybe likes to try later. To the statement of that the download is not for free: Here in germany are a lot of DSL users.They can download as much as they want and pay only their monthly fee (79 EUR most cases) and people don't have DSL know somebody who have it or go to an Iso-store. So for me it is better to buy the Iso's burned cheap on a cd-r and give mandrake a bigger revenue with joining the club. I don't need any boxes, as they are fast outdated and I don't need the paper manuals as I know mandrake since the 6.1 .
