I post clear instructions on my site and so does the club for how to set
it up to use urpmi to do the installing.

Is it really that hard to tell people to su and type urpmi
filenameofyour.rpm?

I'm really not sure how I feel about making gurpmi default.  I see both
sides.  Though I do think you're exagerating the need a bit...  But at
the same time I can see how it might be "nice."
