To set mail client, you need to go to the 'File Types and Programs' configuration capplet, create a new service, tell it to handle "mailto", and set it to your mailer. This is hardly user-friendly :). It's listed in Bugzilla, though, and the bug seems to indicate it'll be dealt with in GNOME 2.3. -- adamw
