Install kdelibs with --nodeps and kdeutils, no other kde package, no galaxy-kde. kcalc (and many other kde applications) will run just fine. Since when libraries have to be configured? They are just a repository of functions, aren't they?

Patch 200 sets the default style to galaxy, but if it is not installed, it looks like the underlying default qt style (motif, I think) is used.
Hmm, what do you think Laurent? Is it safe not to have the Requires so long as DrakX makes sure galaxy-kde gets installed for most people?
