This is a Norwegian cookie made traditionally at Christmas time.kind of a fried dough affair. But I don't really know the proper spelling. I have heard my hhusband calling them, Fattamanabackles or just Backles. The older members of the Hansen family are now gone, and I don't have the recipe.
