I'm wondering if you doubled the water, because then you would need 8 more
cups of cold or other liquids, and I'm not sure all of that would fit into
one jello mold. Your post didn't make it clear whether you waited a while
for the jello mix with the jello to jell. If you don't do that, then it
might not work. A small box of Jello calls for one cup of boiling water and
one cup of cold water, and a large one calls for 2 cups of each, so it does
look like you put in too much water.

Subject: [CnD] Jello Mold?
Hi,
I made a jello mold because my son likes it; I used two packages of jello,
and boiled four cups of water!
I frained two cans of mandarin oranges and one can of crushed pineapple.
After boiling the jello, I added a container of Cool Whip and marshmallows
and then poured my jello mixture into it!
It's not setting, like I think it should; it's still somewhat watery,
instead of thickened.
What can I do differently, to get it to set faster next time?
Thanks.
Claudia
